About Glasswool Insulation (R-7)

Glasswool Insulation is crafted using advanced centrifugal technology to fibrose molten glass, combined with an environmentally friendly thermosetting resin binder. Composed of fine glass fibers with diameters of just a few microns, this insulation excels in fire resistance, thermal insulation, heat preservation, and sound absorption. The R-7 variant offers effective thermal control for both vertical and horizontal applications, available unfaced in roll form.

Ideal for a variety of uses, it can be installed in wood or metal framing cavities, between furring strips, or retrofitted into attics, crawl spaces, and above suspended ceilings.

Features of Glasswool Insulation

Glasswool Insulation provides exceptional performance and benefits:

  • Formaldehyde-Free: Safe for indoor environments with no off-gassing.
  • Thermally Efficient: Low thermal conductivity for effective heat transfer resistance.
  • Sound Control: Reduces sound transmission through walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Fire Resistant: Noncombustible and durable inorganic glass construction.
  • Durability: Will not rot, mildew, slump, or corrode pipes, wiring, or metal studs.
  • Ease of Installation: High resilience, lightweight, and flexible for wrapping around curved surfaces.
